Goodbye Western world – it’s been a pleasure.
The next time we’ll be on a bike will be navigating the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, and the next English speaking country we’ll be in will be … England in eight months time.

Aside from being adrift in the South Pacific Ocean – or in outer space – we are currently as far away from home as we can possibly be.
Dunedin, a city in the south of New Zealand, is officially the furthest city in the world from London where we left four months ago.
How many natural disasters have you slept through?
Katie’s running total is now two. The first was when we were stupidly camping in Storm Katie in March 2016 – our tent was on the verge of being blown off the ground in 100 kph winds but Katie still got a good eight and a half hours.
We were discussing the other day, what we would say if we were hauled up to give testimony in court. We’re under cross-examination, the lawyer asks us: “Where were you on December 22nd 2016?”
The answer is… we weren’t there. We didn’t have it. We literally didn’t exist on that day.
A Scotsman, a Swiss man, two Swedes, a Belgian, a Dutch and an English girl walk into a bar.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas – but we just had to share this with our friends and family:
WE GOT MARRIED IN VEGAS!
Imagine riding a gym bike in a power shower, with the water as cold as it will go.
Now tilt your head back and stare into the shower head letting the water hit your face, but keeping your eyes open. Keep doing this for around 70 minutes, and you’ll have an idea how it was to cycle between Globe and Superior on Highway 60 in Arizona.
It’s been a while since our last blog – we’ve not been able to write as we’ve been too busy rioting outside Trump Tower…
Not really – we’ve been hammering out miles on the bike. Since we last wrote we’ve covered 936 km, all in Texas, about 90% of which has been in the desert. There was the small matter of the election which occurred somewhere in the middle of that. November 8th really wasn’t our day.
What’s the first thing you think of when someone says Texas? We came up with: Lance Armstrong, Cowboys, George Bush, Longhorn cows. From now on, we’ll probably think of Carol.
